Born in Salon-de-Provence, France in 1990, Simon Potre Jacquemus is a French designer and founder of the Jacquemus fashion label.

Jacquemus’ unique aesthetic is characterised by clean, soft lines, asymmetrical cuts, a rainbow of colours and accessories with surrealist geometries. A mix of freshness, spontaneity and playfulness that transports us back to our childhood, through Simone Porte's time spent in the south of France, between Marseille and Avignon.

Inspired by the women, the love for his mother and the Provençal and Mediterranean influence, the designer launched the Jacquemus brand (a tribute to his mother’s maiden name) and designed his first collection in 2010. The key piece was a very minimal skirt reminiscent of the curtain skirt he made for his mother years prior.
The turning point came for the brand's third collection, when he was first noticed by Rei Kawacubo and her husband Adrian Joffe (the two minds behind the Comme des Garçon brand), who offered him a job as a sales assistant in one of the brand's boutiques. Two years later, after an intense period working both in the store and on his collections, he finally made his first debut at Paris Fashion Week in 2012. In 2015, Jacquemus received the Special Jury Prize at the LVMH Prize.

The success of the brand is the true natural talent of Simon combined with his ability to create expectations, his very confident and communicative use of social media, an innate inclination for sales - the experience as sales man and the competitive price lower than most luxury brands are also a proof - and the easy to wear approach to his collections.
