Artisan Parfumeur

Everything started thanks to a gala evening at The Folies Bergères: Jean Laporte, a chemist, was asked by a friend if he could create a banana scent to wear with a costume of the same fruit to the soirée. This unique perfume was quickly followed by grapefruit and vanilla fragrances, creating original scents with “natural essences”. Thanks to his quick success Jean Laporte was named L’Artisan Parfumeur – the craftsman of fragrance – and his classic fragrances remain unchanged throughout its 40-year history.
